Well yes, we got the 'master tape' directly from the band – a regular BASF SA-90. They taped their session with a radio cassette recorder in their rehearsal room (the infamous "Bunker" in Düsseldorf). It was a mix of rehearsal improvisations and hometaped Jimi Hendrix recordings. I met two of the three band members for several exhaustive interview sessions... good times.
