Mutant Sounds (and many lost blogs like it) were essential for me. Krautrock Maniac was another one that dug deep. And one more dedicated to Moroccan tapes that, alas, I can't remember anymore.
I loved the blog era for musical discovery and do have some positive feelings that substack is encouraging more musical discussion and sharing.
As for your posts, I always enjoy seeing/listening to any recommendations new or old.
I actually had bought Richter Band's excellent 'Smetana' digitally on Infinite Expanse (https://infiniteexpanse.bandcamp.com/album/smetana) last year, and liked it so much I ordered the vinyl edition recently when it was released. Haven't heard anything else from them so I'm looking forward to checking this one.
Please keep doing what you’re doing! I love getting a download into a new aural universe everytime I see an update from you in my gmail. Many blessings
Now yer talkin'! Yes, those kindsa blogs are definitely sorely missed, I think you're doing a wonderful service thinking this way. Cheers!
oh, glad to hear that. Its way easier too. a little risky but worth it i think

Thanks, by the way, for turning me on to this. I finally snagged a copy of the cd after really digging the download. Great listening!
