Rustic Hinge - "Replicas"

I was thinking about stuff to post this morning and “Galactic Zoo Dossier” by Kingdom Come came to mind. Its one of my favorite albums of the early 70’s era. Did some extra reading on it and in interviews with Arthur Brown, he mentioned Rustic Hinge. I have had this record for a while now and i thought this would be a good one for zikzak. The heart of the group was drummer Drachen Theaker who featured in The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown”. After delving in a little bit,i found out he featured on some albums I had no idea about. His drumming featured on the Love “Four Sail” album as well as the British band High Tide. He also ended up auditioning for The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown because he was due to audition for the Jimi Hendrix Experience gig, but got caught in traffic and missed the appointment. I reckon Mitch Mitchell would have landed that job anyhow but its an interesting bit of trivia

This record is very indebted to the music of Captain Beefheart, so this should give you some idea of whats in store
