Hi all
Sorry its been a while.
Not gonna lie…been a bit down in the dumps with all thats happening stateside (and frankly around the planet)
my posting on zikzak can be looked at as a barometer of my mood. The more i post, the more buoyant i feel, the less, the more kinda bummed i am
Since its Bandcamp Friday and i still have enough stamina to be self serving, I wanted to let you know 2 things:
First, i put up the digital version of my new album on Noir Age called “Between Soil & Sky” on my personal Bandcamp page. Its now name your price.
For me, money isn’t the main thing (but its nice of course). I really want as many people as possible to hear what i do. I tend to make it difficult on listeners because im changing up my sound constantly. This new one is more experimental and its almost all tape loops and synths. Its honestly more like how my musical brain really works but its a bit more out there. Its 35 different little ideas collaged into a whole Still, what do you have to loose? Not money cause its free if you want :-) Its a bit like the album that i am featuring as the main attraction to this post
Deuter “D”
Deuter’s “D” is possibly my favorite Krautrock record (in my top 5 for absolute certain)
I always thought it was a gross oversight that it never made it into the “Krautrocksampler” book. This is why i think its remained very underrated and relatively unknown. Deuter is thought of primarily for his groundbreaking “New Age” work, but this isnt that at all. As a matter of fact its one of the most trippy, acid washed things you are likely to hear.
This photo gives you some idea of whats in store
Sitars, bells, Synthi, Field Recording…the lot. Its actually very contemporary considering its 1971 date of release
As the kids say… It’s the joint!

I feel your pain, deeply. The Deuter files won't extract or play properly for me; any tips?
